In the match against an eleven of England the Australians continued their second inniogs, which closed for a total of 168, the highest ec.irers being Lyons 30, Turner 33, Bannerman (not out) 39. The Englishmen then went in for their second innings, but made a poor stand against the bowling of the visitors, Ferris being in splendid form, and when tbe last wicket fell the score had only reached 71, leaving the Australians victors by 56 rnns. Turner took 5 wickets for 51, and Ferris 5 for 18.
