The cricket match. Australians v. Sussex, was resumed at Brighton to-day. The weather was fine, and the attendance good. The Home team, who had one wicket down for 24 runs on the previous day, continued their first innings, remaining at the wickets all day. When the stumps were drawn the Bcore of the Englishmen stood at 322, with 7 wickets down. The most successful batsmen were:—J. H. Brain, 104 ; W. P, Lucas, 81; W. Newman, 45. Received August 30, at 0.50 a.m. London, August 28.

The cricket match, Australians v. Sussex, was resumed at Brighton to-day, when the Englishmen continued their first innings, which closed for 352, F. M. Lucas, not out, 93, being the principal scorer. The Australians, who were 152 behind their opponents in the first innings, went in for their second innings, and at the conclusion of the day's play seven wicketa down for 300. Scott, caught, 43 ; Palmer, caught, 84; Trumble, not out, 52, made best scores for the visitors. Time did not permit the game being played out, and the match was declared drawn.
