AUCTIONEER'S REPORT. Messrs. Fleming and Hedley report that they held a sale this day of sheep and cattle, on account of Messrs. Spcncc, Robertson, and others at M 'Kay's Yards. There was a large attendance of buyers, and all lots (except 30 lambs) found buyers at satisfactory rates. The first lot submitted was 200 2-tooth eros3-bred3, fat, whicli were eagerly competed for, and fetched L 7 10s. The next lot was 2SO full monthed cross-bred store ewes, which sold at 6s 7d. There were submitted nearly 4000 merino ewes in the wool—a very good lot. These were taken by two pnrchasers at 8a 9d and 8s lOd. The merino ewes, 850 with 80 per cent, of lambs at foot, were a little hard to move, but they found a buyer at last at lis 6d. The lambs were young, bat in nice thriving condition. Store cattle were again in good demand, and every lot submitted fetched full market rates. The cattle were, however, very quiet, and of nice quality. Two to three-year-old steers and heifera sold at from L 4 15s to L 5 12s Gd ; yearlings to two-year-olds, from L 3 7s 6d to IA sa. The demand was in excess of the number yarded. There were 11 very prime fafr steers and cows yarded of medium weights. There was a fair demand at from L 6 lOsr for heifers all round to L#> 17s Gd for steers. One dairy cow sold for L 6 12s 6d.
