DUNKDIN MARKETS. Mr. BohaW£trisnncf» (on behalf of the J»ev Zealand LOan .and Mercantile Agency Company, Ximited) reports as follows for the week ending 22nd December:— Fat Cattle:—The fall supply of 204 head was yarded at Bumstde on Tuesday, which, save in a few* instances, last week's quotations. Bullocks- sola at from L 5 7a 6d to 111 23 C«l, and cows from Lo 12s 6d to Ll2 10s. We sold as follows; On account of Mr. J. C. Buckland—Three bullocks at 17 7« 6d to L 8 }2s 6d ; 16 cows at L 4 23 6d to L 6 17a fxt. On account of Mr. W. "Shand—Four bullocks at L 8 5a to L 9; and a draft of exceptionally fine cattle, bred rand fattened Ivy Mr. David Corsan, buttocks at WO to El I 2a 6«, and. cow* at Lto 2a 6d to LlO 12s »kl. V» e quote prime beef barely 22s fid per 1001b. , Fat Calves. —Seventeen were sold at from 13a to 50s per head. We sold a small draft od account of Mr. W.'Shand at quotations. Fat Sheep.—The market was well supplied with 1860 head, of which 1000 were crossbred and' 800 -merino. The fori'ner sold at from 7a 3d to 12 9d, and the latter at 5» to 9a 3d per head ; not supporting quotations of previous market. We disposed of drafts on account of Messrs'. J- C- Bnckland, J. and S. Wilson, J. and J. Sutherland, and D. Corsan, at from 7s 6d to 8s j>d. Prime croaa-bred mutton may be quoted at ljd per lb. . . Fat lambs were well competed for in view of Christmas demand ; ,512 were sold at from 5a to 103 Dd. We disposed of drafts of excellent quality' on account of Messrs. Buckland, W. Shand, J. and S, Wilson, and Fleming and Hedley (Seadown), at from 8s to 10a 9d per head. • Fat Pig*.—Eighty-two realised from l<a. 6d to 62s per head. ' Fat Stock.—Next week's sales will be held on Wednesday a3 usual. . Store Sheep.—lnquiry continues very active for both yonnc merinoa ond crossbred?, bat there are very few lots offering. Sheepskins.—At our weekly auction on Monday last p t}cea realised were about equivalent to those of previous week. Station skins, of which chiefly the catalogue consirtedf aold up to 6s for crossbred and 4a 3d for meriao, lambskins Is 7d, and pelts 9d to la each. Our next sale will be on Tuesday, 28th current. Hides. —We have no alteration to report, the demand cOnMnaing "very "strong at lata prices. Tallow. Market- fairly supported;^but business has been only on a small. scaler. Quotations, 25a per cwt. for well.rendered tallow, and 15a to 17s for rough fat. Grain.—Market for all descriptions-very quiet. Wheat :—Prime -milling could still be placed at our last week's prices, but for other descriptions there is no inquiry. _ V\ e quote prime milling, 4s-Sd to 4s 9d; medium, 3a 6d to 4a 6d; fowls' feed, 2s 6d to 3? 3d per bushel. Oats:—Nothing doing worth reporting-- ' Barley-:—No business to record.
