Copies of Prospectus and Forms of Application for Shares caa be obtained from the Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from any of the Branches of the Bank of New Zealand in this Colony, until the 15th day of December, 188\ at which date all applications must be iu the hanHs of the Brokers, *hen the lists will positively be c'osed and shares allotted, Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be St en at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the officers of the Company. In introducing this eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Comi any's right comprise the best, mojt available, extensive, _ and pel haps most valuable Marble deposits in the known worlJ, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italipn Statuary and other va'uable varieties. They also with to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate success o? this venture being now well established. The loweßt quotation for this Marble is 12s per loot, and ranges up to £5. Larger blocks are, however, much more valuable, some pu e White Statuary, without fl '.ws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a lifesize human statue being about £IOOO. The present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot, f.o.b. These figuresmay appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutelycorrect. Thus, taking the cost of production as stated, and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12s per foot gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of £OO per cent, profit. It is therefore, no visionary matter, as these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage o»er any like prop rty in the world. We will also venture to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 per cent, within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, a»d Lime, in the Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months ha 3 been £2,872,600 sterline, and is rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a con.modious and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of tMs colony ha 3 also promised to favorably consider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as the Company is successfully floated. For further particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c„ also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &e., together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, with details of the objects and intentions of the Company, we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained npon application to any of the officers of the Company or from Company's Agents, the Bank of New Zealand, Oamaru, and at any of their branches ia this colony And Australia* 800
