Copies of Prospectus and Forms of Application for Shares can be obtained from the Brokers, Provisional Directors, or fiom any of the Branches of the Bank of New Zealand fn this Colony, until the 15th day of December, 1830, at which date all' applications fnnirfc be in the hands of the Brokers, iihen the list 3 will positively be closed and shares allotted. Specimens of Caswell Sound Marble can be seen at any of the Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the olncers of the Company. .... Id introducing this eligible investment to the notice cf the public, the promoters desire to state that *he Comt any's right comprise the b«st. moat available, extensive, ana perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in (he known wotlil, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble securing the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other vxuabie varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, the ultimate success of this venture tiej'ng now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranges up to £5. Larger blocks however, much more valuable, some pore White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary price for a block suitable for a lifesize human statue being about £IOOO. The present cost of producing this Marble by maonsl labor only is about 2s per cubic foot, f.o.b. These figures may appear incredible, bet they are nevertheless absolutely correct. Thus, taking cost of production as stated, and the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous miniafim rate of COO per cent, profit. It is therefore, po visionary matter, as these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, (he facilities of dreduction, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage ptrpy TiVp property in the world. We will also venture to predict that the value of the Company's shares will increase at least 300 per cent, withiu twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormon3. The consumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime, in the Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months -has been £2,872,600 sterling, and is rapidly increasing. Ca£xfpll Sound is a con. modicus and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of is colony >mj« also promised to favorably conaider special grants and concessions in aid ai soon as the Company is successfully floated. For further particulars re other minjT«lii found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, 4c., also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &C-, together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, irith of the objects and intentions of the Company, we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Companv or from Company's Agents, the Bank of New ZeaJ*ad, Oamaru, and at any of their branches in this colony and Australia. 800
