~_ . . » r— .. - ~' (BY TELEGRAPH.) • Wellington, December 4. -It is stated' that while, on board' the steamer Hinemoa,, Tuhia gave a further reason for committing the murder. He said when Miss Dobie'gave him the money she said she would tell the soldiers. To prevent her doing so he killed her. The depositions taken at the inquest have been handed to the Crown Prosecutor, and'the nfecessary steps will be taken to secure witnesses. The Hinemoa leaves for Opunake on Monday, -forthe purpose ,of bringing down witnesses who are engaged in/the case. ■ . . . ' ' - - ' ; ■ •
