NO. 1 COMPANY'S CLASS FIRING.

The annual class firing was commenced by No. 1 Company yesterday morning, the squad being under the charge of Captain Headland. The weather was in every way suitable for rifle shooting, and some good scores were made, more especially when it is noted, that the position throughout was standing. Captain Headland headed the list with 71 out of a possible 80, making the full complement of points at the 300 yards range. Of the thirteen competitors, nine succeeded, in making the requisite number to qualify (36). The following are the scores :
