Copies of Prospectus and Forms of Application for Shares can be obtained from the Brokers, Provisional Directors, or from any of the Branches of the Bank of New Zealand in this Colony, nntil the 15th day of December, 18S ; ), at which date all applications snnst bo in the hands of the Brokers, a hen the lists wilt positively be closed and-shares Specimens of CssweU Sound, marble can be seen at any of tho Museums in New Zealand ; the Chamber of Commerce, Wellington ; or on application to any of the oilicers of the Company. _ In introducing tbis eligible investment to notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Comtany's right comprise the best, moat available, extensive, _ and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the tcrmuf n world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marble sectoring the first prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty and non-speculative character, tho ultimate success of this venture being now well established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is J2s per foot, and ranges up to £5. larger blocks are, however, -much more valuable, some pure White Statuary, with out flaws, realising as much as £20,000 sterling in Epropc. The prdinsxy price for a block suitable for a lifcaijje human statue being about £IOOO. The present co3t of producing this Marble by manual labor only is about 2s per cubic foot, f. o. b. These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutely correct. Thus, taking the coat of production as stated, snd the very lowest wholesale quotation at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of £OO per cent, profit. It is therefore, no visionary matter, a3 these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, tie facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product, giving a vast advantage over any like property in the world. We will also venture to predict that the value Of the Company's shares v. ill increase at least 3CO Er cent, within twelve months of issue, if erring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous. The consumption of MprWffj Portland Cement, and Lime, in the Australian Colonies alone during the last twelve months has been £2,572,600 sterling, and is rapidly increasing. Caswell Sound is a corr.modious and safe harbor for the largest vessel* in all weathers, the works of the Company being situated at the water's edge. The Government of colony has also promised to favorably conaider special grants and concessions in aid as soon as the Company is successfully floated. For further particulars re other minerals found at the Sound, copper, coal, gold, &c., also the manufacture of hydraulic cement, lime, &c., together with scientific, professional, Government, and other reports, with details of the objects and intentions of the Company, we refer to the Prospectus, which can be obtained upon application to any of the officers of the Company or from Company's Agents, the Bank of New Zealand, Oamaru, and at any of their branches in this colony and Australia. 800 THE ST.
