(SPECIAL TO SYDNEY MORNING HERALD.) London, October 27. William Herbert, bootmaker, of Melr bourne, shot his paramour, Jane ger, at Fursbury Park, and then attempted to commit suicide. A verdict of murder was returned. A report as to the murder of the Ameer is not confirmed. Kurdish raids in Persia have developed seriously. Urrumah is unmolested. Mr. Chamberlain (President of the Board of Trade) declares that the Government are bound to give 600,000 Irish tenants a right and interest in the soil. The Pope, in his recent allocation, shows the rapid change to a militant mode in defence of his temporal rights. The proprietors of the Morning Post have suspended payment. The Czar is suffering from paralysis. He recently sent 10,000 roubles of his private fortune to Berlin.
