PEDIGKEE. Scotland Yet is rising four years old, and stands 16£ hauds high. He is a rich dark bay, with capital short hairy legs, and four black points. He possesses good sound feet—a very important requisite in a sire for producing draught stock. He is short in the back, well ribbed-up, with good quarters and splendid action. He has proved a sure foal-getter, and is a splendid worker. Bred by Mr. James Burgeas, South land. Sire, Voung Prince of Walea, by Brew's Prince of Wales, by General* by tSir Walter Scott, by Old by Scotland, by Champion, which takes us fully fifty years back dale b10,0.d lip, Scotland. Scotland Yet's dam was bred by Mr. A. Steele, which was got by the weil-known Thane of Clyde, imported by HughM'Lean, Esq., of Benmore. Thane of Clyde, bred by Thomas Young, E-q., Renfrewshire, Scotland. He took several first prizes in Scotland when two and three years old. His dam was the celebrated mare Matchless, never beaten in her day. lie also gained the first prize, against all comers, at the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Society's Show in 1867, being there for the first time shown in New Zealand. The following year he gained the Gold Medal at the Tokomairiro Agricultural and Pastoral Society' 3 Grand Show, and was reckoned by competent judges to be the best bred horse in. Otago ; also, the Gold Medal at the Clutha. Scotland Yet gained second prize at the Southland Agricultural and Pastoral Socety's Show in gained the same Society's first prize, beating a field of seven, and he was admitted by the fudges on that occasion to be the best oolt bred from the Prince of Wales.
