(from our own correspondent.) PALMERSTON. Qptober J9. Tho illicit still case is now pn at the Resident Magistrate's Court, before I. N. Watt, Esq., 11.M. Mr. H?gght, with Mr. Hackworth, Collector of Uustoms, and Inspector Thompson, support the prosecution. Mr. M'Dermott appearing for the M'Carthys, and Mr. Catamore for Mary Hood and Annan. The Court is crowded. Stephen Power pleaded guilty, Q.pd has turned Queen's evidence. His examinatian.-in.-chief was only finished when the Court adjourned fpv half an hour. Power's evidence is very damagr ing to the defendants.
