THE WAITAKI JOCKEY CLUB RACES.
The annual race meeting of the Waitaki Jockey Club will be held on the Duntroon course to-morrow and Friday, and, as usual, will probably attract a large number of spectators. There is every likelihood of each bringing out a fair field, and,; although the quality of the horses engaged is only moderate, there will probably be some good racing. The railway department'have.made special arrangements for the conveyance of visitors. On each day, a train will leave Oamaru for Duntroon at 10.15 a.m., waiting at Eukeuri Junction for passengers by the first train from Timaru. To-morrow, a train • will leave Duntroon for Oanfaru, at 5 p.m. ; and on Friday, passengers may return by the ordinary train leaving Duntroon at 6.25 p.m. The following entries and acceptances were received last night : MAIDEN PLATE.
