Dainty Davie's sire—Moffat's Conqu'tfo; (imported from Scotland) —had alßo a. dig. tinguished' career, both at- Home and in the Colonies. When two years old he gained prizes at Glasgow,' Stirling/KirkintuHooh and Dumbarton; when three year a old from among 60 horses he was selected* for a £4O premium. The following year he was pur. chased by Mr. Moffat, Victoaria, and re. tained at his stud till purchased by M r , Turner, of Bacchus Marsh—the most noted breeder in Victoria. Conqueror's sire was Lochfergua Champion. It can be aafelv asserted that Lochfergus Champion left more prize stalliooß and mares than any other Clydesdale horse in Scotland.
