Oats We qaote 13 1/d to Is Sd for milliner, and Is odto Is 7d for sood feed, but transactions are very reatrietedT Now th.it supplies are coming forward more frtely, holders will probably have to give way somewhat, in which more business may be looked for. Barley : Good malting samples can be placed without difficulty at 3a b'd ; for inferior descriptions there u little demand. We quote ordinary to good, 2s Cd to 3s 3d per bushel. Wool.—We have received the following telegram from car London office, dated 13th September: —"Competition is increasing, and quotations are, on an average, \d to Id per lb better than at the opening. Trade in the manufacturing districts bs slightly better. Up to date 173,000 bales have been sold." This affords a full confirmation of the public Press telegrams, which have from day to day reported.a gradual improvement. On comparison of the figures above given, it w ill be observed that "the withdrawals must have amounted to about 2/,0Ot) bales. LocaiK there is nothing of interest to report.
