(kkotkk's telkgkam, per press association) London, September 10. The total quantity of "wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,490,000 quarters, Three per cent, consuls, 97f. Best Australian beef tallow, 36s 6(1; best mutton tallow, 365. Adelaide wheat, per 496 lbs, 465. At the wool sale to-day, 4800 bales were offered, making a total of 155,600 catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale continues firm. There is a firm demand for crossbreds. In the Seaham Colliery explosion there are 162 missing. The match between the Australians and eighteen of the Clydesdale Club at Glasgow was commenced to-day. The Home team went first to the wickets, and when the stumps were drawn for the day, had lost 8 wickets for 138 runs. Oil September 20 the Australians play against Bradford, and on the 27th against the Players at the Crystal Palace, which will be the final match in England. September 11. Mr. Gladstone has caused a letter to be published, expressing his thanks for the universal sympathy shown during his recent illness. An interview has been held between Prince Bismarck and Baron Yon Haymerle, the Austro-liungarian Minister for Foreign Affairs, which is expected to result in a closer alliance between Germany and Austria. The question of the future of Roumania was discussed by Prince Bismarck and the Austrian Minister, and they agreed in favor of the formation of that principality into a neutral kingdom. Twenty-six thousand nailers in Staffordshire and the surrounding districts have struck. Constantinople, September 11. The announcement made at the beginning of the week that the Albanians had agreed to the cession of Duleigno to Montenegro is now proved to have been premature. The Albanians are still hostile, and frequent collisions occur with the Turks. The cession is therefore still further delayed.
