Fat sheep are in full ■apply; bidding is languid, and values have declined Is to Is 6d per head. Prime mutton, 2Jd per lb. Fat lambs range from 9a to 13a each. WELLINGTON. (bt telegraph.) September 1. Messrs. Leary and Campbell report:— Tmde is far from brisk, and public auctions show langoor and great indisposition to buy, except at prices that would leave a loss to shippers. The following prices were realised since last report:—Chick wheat, 2s to 2s 2d ; TP*;™., 3s to 3»4'1 ; flour, Ll2; bran, 7Jd to £d ; salt butter, fcacon, ham, eggs, quite unsaleable j potatoes, L2 12s 6d to L2 los I onions, overstocked and no demand ; cheese, 5d to 6d ; apples, lis to 12s ; oranges, 9s ; fowls, 3s 6d.
