A NEW ZEALAND GIRL AMONGST THE MORMONS.

I have seer t JTfM erring after they arrived there al SLppointment; but still they wrote ! their friends that all was well. I have !° the Mormons the greatest liars thai *2 met, as they will kill a man for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake, and tell a he fsave their own neck or any of then e( J Their Blood Atonement is a diaUicai institution. Were not the Parish li Potter families, of Springville, mur- - rp( j w h«n attempting to leave the Terftory; and Potter and Wilson, of Webei Villev' were assassinated in gaol undei the same law The Mormons claim the . Secret -ssiaaination is a part of the doctrine . B j practice of the Mormon Church, iji'e church being sole judge of sufficiency f cause. But there are the United States soldiers at Fqrt Douglas to keep jjjent quiet now. Did not 50 of the fenders of the church assist in the massacre at the Mountain Meadows, and are not jorne of them in a high position in the church to-day, quaking with fear in case the troth should come to the light of the Gentiles? I answer "Yes." J. P. Sotenaen may not, who is nothing bnt a fani. He wa3 first a Mormon, then an infidel, then a Catholic, then an atheist, t&ea a Mormon again, and now a fraud, and a wolf in sheep's* clothing, seeking whom he may devour. One moraine, previous to his going to New Zealand, he took his child and wrapped a blanket around it and put a string around it and i'pped it down a well seven times, a3_ he nail there were seven devils in the child, and the divils would not go in the water, and he had a dream that that would Seal it. He kept wax candles burning all uigjit to keep the devils from himself. He is j man that no one in Salt Lake speaks well of, either Mormon or Gentile. They all consider him as a fraud. I wonder why the Government allows such men to wander at large, and why the Government of the United States does not stamp the Jlonnon Church into the dust, where it would have been placed long ago had it attempted to rear it 3 hideous head in any other country.— Jofrjf Tnos. Lcn">"ox, one of its deluded victims.—United States, Jane, 1880. Mr. Lunnon sends us several lettere nyiinst 3lormonism which have been inserted in the Salt Lake Tribune. One of these we give :—" Eds. Tribune In 1579 three lying Mormon Elders, Pierce, Batt, and Shrives decoyed my young sister Miss Mary Ann Lunnon (born in November, 1865), into the Mormon faith, while in New Zealand, against her father's consent, and with the assistance of a few si3ter3 of the Mormon faith, they succeeded in getting her on a steamer in Lytttelton in March, 1880, notwithstanding her father and friends were doing all they could to prevent her. and algo had the police trying to prevent her. She stowed herself on the steamer and came to Utah, arriving here about nine weeks ago. Since her arrival here I have been trying to persuade her to return home and undo the wrong she had done to her parents, knowing that she was on the road to shame and disgrace through the horrid doctrines of the Mormon church. Being her only natural guardian in America I have applied to the United States District Attorney to aid me, but have failed- She is now staying with one of John W. Young's wives on Third West-street, in thi3 city, and her mind Sag been poisoned against me by the women and bishop of the ward. My intention was to take her back to our parents in Sew Zealand, from whom she was enticed by the Mormon priests against the instructions of the circular issued by Secretary Erarts. She !3 set against her friends, and may become the inmate of a Mormon harem, a fate almost as bad as eternal damnation.—Salt Lake, June 24, 1880."
