The figures for each of the years wefe as follow : i 870*71 £385,217 1871-72 809.306 1872-73 1,305,9.4 1873-74 2,042,557 1874-75 3,223,893 1875-76 2,799,591 1876-77 1,723,000 1877-78 • 1,496,28,7 ;;; ::: 1,090,571 Total L 15,474.337 The amount of the five million loan expended up to June 30, 1880, was L 2,826,897-
