REPRESENTATION BILL.
(fkgm our own cokkespondent. ) Wellington, August 6. The Representation Bill was circulated last night. It increases the number of members to 90, and, with the exception of Wangapui, no district returns more than one member. Why the exception has been made in thia case I cannot say. The portion of tiie schedule particularly interesting to Waitaki is as follows, and jit will be seen that the district wiil have two and a half members instead of two : WAITAKI. Bounded on the north-east by the Hopkins River, Ohau Lake, Ohau River, and Waitaki River to the sea ; east, by the seg, to the mouth of the Kakanui River 5 south, by thp Kakanui Rivpr and Island Creek to the southeast corner of section 51, block 1, Kauroo survey district ; thence by a line due w«st to the summit of the Kakanui Mountains near Kakanui Peak ; west, by the KakanuiMountains and a right line tt>Kyeburn Hill; thence by the summit of the watershed to Mount Ida ; theuce by the summit of the Hawkdun Mountains to a point due east of Mount St. Bathans ; thence by a line to the laac-mentioned point; thence along the subline <>' tinrange, through Lindis Pa*s. > Lnngslip Hill; thence along the summit of the range to Mount Ward ; thence to Mount Holmes; and thence by a line to the starting point, exclusive of the Oamaru electoral district. ~ 'oamaru. Bounded on the north-west by blocks 2 and 4, Oamaru survey district, 4596 links, also by block 2, 3219 links ; north-north-east, by bi'-ck 1, 6426 'inks ; east, by the high-water maik of the ocean 15,800 links; S'.uth-e-si, V.10.-.k 4, 200Q links ; suuth, by block 4, 6950 links; south-west, by block 4, i3fj34 links ; west-r north-west, by block 4, 4567 links,' MOERAKI. Bounded on the north by the Waitaki district ; east, by the sea ; south, by block 1, Hawksbury survey district, and sections 26, 25, and 22, block 2, from the jnouth of Stoney Creek to Pleasant River by the river and a line from it due north to tlie Taieri Peak, by a right line due west tp thie Waikouaiti Riyer; again west by the side of the river and eastern branch to the western corner of section 1, block 7, Dunback survey cU3 tr ict, by a right line due north to Shag Riper hear the cpnfluence of Green Valley stream, by Shag River to its course, and *a right line to Kakanui Peak.
