The damage done on the railway lines by the heavy rauis of the past two days has been more serious thai> was at first anticipated. A letter from Mr. Attenborough, re Mr. Wood's property in Victoria, was read, when it was resolved that the Society take no further action in the matter. The report of the Visiting Committee was read, and it was decided that the relief fund be the same as during lagfc m,onth. It >yas proposed by Mr. Greenfield, seconded by Mr. Mollison, and carried, That a Sub-committee, consisting ftf Messrs.. Headland, Mollison, and Greenfield (conyener), b.e appointed tp up a list of goods not to be considered necessaries. It was resolved that the Master be instructed to keep a list of all articles given to the Home, and a statement of the persons to whose use the articles were applied. It was , also resolved that the thanks of the Society • be accorded to Mrs. Procter, Mrs. Thompson, 1 and Mr. Fidler, for gifts to the Home. Mr. ] M'Farlane, proposed, and Mr. Greenfield 1 seconded, That the Home be closed as a servants' home., and that the Master's salary be L7o per annum.
