FATAL ACCIDENT ON THE NGAPARA RAILWAY.

An accident, rasulting in the instantaneous ' death of a man named Thomas Guy, occurred on tho Ngapara railway last evening at' 'Windsor. On the arrival |of the train at the Windsor platform, the 'engine was uncoupled andtakert into tho siding to couple on some additional trlicks. :On coming out of the sidings and proceeding a 'little further • along the line, tho engine struck the body of the man, which was apparently lying across the rails, and the concussion was sufficient to bring the train to a standstill; the engine at the time of the accident being moving very The body was'almost severed in two across the shoulders and chest by one of tho wheels passing over it. The deceased was employed on the Livingstone, railway, and the body was recognised by his brother, also an employtf on the Livingstone line.
