SHAG POINT COAL MINE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE OAMARU MAIL. Sir, —I was glad to see the notice you had taken of our last month's output, but I would like to correct you as to the distance it travels. We are now sending coal to Christchurch north and to Queenstown south. Our output for May was 3573 tons, not so much as for April. But it would have qoiisiderably more, but we could not get a supply of wagons to take it away ; and just now I could load 40 truoks per day if' I could get them, and I am often obliged to leave, orders unfulfilled for want of trucks.—l am, &c., W, U. WEU&ums,
