The Registrar of the University has received the following telegram ve the ipissing University examination papers .; " Papers reached England early in March. Examiner's report? sent to London by April 8, but had to be returned for explanation. Expect them out by next mail." CHEISTCHURCH. June 3. There are now 60 boys and 43 girls in the Canterbury Orphanage. The Local Industries Association's Exhibition will be held in August. - ■A house occupied by Mr, George Edds was broken into yesterday, and a silver watch and a box of clothing stolen. Simonsen's Froliques give a gratuitous performance to the inmates of the Lunatic Asylum to-morrow. AUCKLAND. June 3. The so-called Rev. George Atherbury, alias CornQck, was charged this morning under the Vagrant Act with imposing on private citizen's by fraudulent representations, with a view of obtaining money. Inspector Purdy said there were several charges against the accused of % kindred nature, inclusing one of larceny as a bailee. The prisoner was remanded till Saturday.
