Miller's annual report estimates the exports of wool from Hawke's Bay for the current season at L 550,000, an average of L 36 per head of population of the Province. The average of the whole Colony was Lll. The average of clip was nearly 71b3 per sheep. GREYMOUTH. May 23. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried unanimously. CHRISTCHURCH. May 22. Nr. Montgomery writes to the local papers to-day, denying that he ever asked the Premier for a brand new po3t-office for Akaroa, as stated by that gentleman in his speech at Leeston.
