Oats are plentiful, and the market jnsfe now is somewhat firmer, but no dependence can be placed on this as an indication for the future. \Ve have heard of a large sale of at from Is lOd to 2s. Another merchant reports having quitted pood heavy short oats, at from 23 to 2s 1 UL 'Local potatoes average from L2 15s to L 3 ; some have been sold as high as L 3 10s per ton. Canterbury potatoes are quoted at L 3 15s to L 4.
