He ia perfectly quiet, docile, and tractable. His dam is by Lord Clyde, imported from Scotland, and a glaaoe at his career will bo conclusive proof that no better waa ever bred in Scotland. LORD CLYDE was bred by D. M'Far* lano, Esq., Torr, Helensburgh, by Emperor, out of Jess, by Clydesdale Tam, out of Tibbie; Emperor by Sir Walter Scott* Lord Clyde took tho following prizes as a yearling J — First at Biehopriggs, Kirkin* tulloak, East Kilbride, and Johnstone (1866); as a 2-year-old—First at Bar head, Johnstone, Renfrew, and second at Glasgoir Highland Society (1867); as a 3-year-old— Firafc at tho Highland Snoioty Show, held at Aberdeen, IS6B.
