Renfrew Jock's sire is the well-known horaoRenfrew (imported', who gained two first prizes when one year old, two first whoa two years old, aiad when three years hecompeted at the Renfrewshire Exhibition of Stallions, held at Paisley, against all horses, and was awarded the Duke of Hamilton's premium of 30 eovs. He gained tha champion cup at Ballarat on 13th September, 1862, and has beaten every horse that has competed against him, Renfrew Jook gained first prizo at Smoaton as a 1-.year-.old, and first as a 2-year-old at same place. DAINTY DAVIE is a rich dapple bay with blaik points, and stands 16 hands 3 inches. In quality and quantity of bond and hair few equal him, and for strength and symmetry he has few rivals. He ia perfectly quiet, docile, and tractable. His dam is by Lord Clyde, imported from Scotland, and a glaaoe at his career will bo conclusive proof that no better waa ever bred in Scotland. LORD CLYDE was bred by D. M'Far* lano, Esq., Torr, Helensburgh, by Emperor, out of Jess, by Clydesdale Tam, out of Tibbie; Emperor by Sir Walter Scott* Lord Clyde took tho following prizes as a yearling J — First at Biehopriggs, Kirkin* tulloak, East Kilbride, and Johnstone (1866); as a 2-year-old—First at Bar head, Johnstone, Renfrew, and second at Glasgoir Highland Society (1867); as a 3-year-old— Firafc at tho Highland Snoioty Show, held at Aberdeen, IS6B. He was afterwards bought by the lata David Nesbitt, and taken to Victoria, where his stock have takon prizes as follows :—First and second prize colts and first and second prize fillies at Sandhurst, first and second prizo colts and firafe and third prize fillies at Kyneton, and first) prize colt and filly at the Grand National, Melbourne, and tho colt was sold on tha ground for 100 guineas. Dainty Davie's sire—Moffat's Conqueror (imported from Scotland) —had also a distinguished oareer, both at Home and in tha Colonies.
