AUCTIONEER'S REPORT. Mr. George Greenfield reports that he held a sale of furniture, water-tanks, fruit, &c., at his mart, Thames-street, on Saturday. The attendance was large, and the bidding spirited for the various lota. He also held a sale of unredeemed pledges, on account of Mr. Moss, at the same place, at 2 o'clock, when the attendance was large, and good prices realised for the watches, jewellery, &c. TIMARU. Maclean and Stewart report:—Horses— Their sale of draught horses, the property of Messrs. and Stumbles, on Saturday, the 3rd instant, was crowded to excess with a large number of buyers and others interested in seeing so many first-clas3 horses brought together, and the bidding and competition for a number of lota was both spirited and keen, better prices were obtained than have been ruling here for a considerable time back. All the horses being well known as staunch and good workers, they were placed at from 140 to L 57. . Sheep.—The demand for store merinos and CTOss-breds is still active, more especially for the latter class, and they could place a large number provided they were in the market. They have sold during the last few days 1300 half-bred ewes and wethers at 6s 3d, GOO merino wethers at 4s 9d, 500 merino ewes at 3s 3d, s€o merino wethers at 4s, and 400 merino ewes at 3s. Fat Sheep.—The present values are from Sa 6d to 9s. Lincoln and Leicester Rams. —On account of the Otipua estate they offered a number of these, but owing to the very bigh-clas3 quality of the stock, buyere would not be tempted to give up to their values, consequently but few were placed; those sold ranged at from L 3 3s to L 6 6s. At the sale at the Washdyke of Mr. Wildie's dairy stock very fair prices were obtained, the whole of the cows being well bred, and known as good milkers. The young stock also sold weil- Fat cattle may be quoted at from 17a 6d to 20s per IOOIbs, according to quality and weights.
