Cossolatiok Back Handicap of 20 sots ; Post entries, L2; once round; for all horses beaten during the meeting. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races to be run under the Dnnedin Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight far ige. All entries and acceptances must be in wealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colors, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of 2 sots, which while unliqtdated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a .penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses 'are requixed to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing i te comply with this rule shall pay a fine_ to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 sots to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with -the Secretary before such protest is considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexations. Five per cent, will be deducted from the rgross of all moneys paid in accordance with rthe programme tor expenses. Ail disputes, claims, and objections arising 3ut of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint.
