Dunedin Normal School. The annual match between teams from the Oamaru High School and the Dunedin Normal School was played on the Oval on Saturday. It resulted in favor of the latter team by an innings and 20 runs. The Normal team went in first, scoring 78, of which James Fitzgerald made 17 and Ross 16, the former playing exceedingly well for his runs, and the latter showing patient cricket. The Oamaru School Eleven made 28 and 30. The winners were too heavy a team for their opponents, being assisted by some of the teachers, while the losers consisted largely of boys. J. Fitzgerald bowled well for the Normal School, and the brothers Hewitt for Oamaru. The visitors were entertained by the Normal School players at Knox's hostelry, near the Oval.—Daily Times.
