(from: our own correspondents. ) Paimerst'on, March 1. A sad' accident happened' here this motfting.. About 6 o'clock Mr. James Duncan, of the Empire Hotel, was out riding in company with- Mr. W. Little, of the firm of Little Bros., in the neighborhood of Bushy Park, when by some means or other Mr. Duncan was thrown from his horse, falling on his head. When picked up blood was issuing from his ears. Dr. Brovv'n. Was immedia.tely ;in attendance, and upon examination found the skull fractured.' : Mr.. Duncan, was >at once removed to Palmerston, and has remained in a state of insensibility ever since; The doctor holds out no hopes whatever of his recovery. The sad affair has cast quite a gloom over the town. •
