All races to be run under the Dunedin Jockey Club Boles, and new scale of weight fer sgs. . All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colors, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, nnder a penalty of 2 sovs, which while unliqidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such penalty. All persona intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hoar before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 sovs to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L2 2a mast be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme lor expenses. All disputes, claims, and objection! arising aut of the racing shall be decided by the Steward?, or whoever they_ may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying oat of the programme shall be final. Entries received only under th*se conditions. Nominations, entries, and acceptances will not be received after the time stated under any pretence whatever, or withont being accompanied with the necessary amount in ca>h, and with qualification fee of Li Is added.
