' All races to be run'under the Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight " Al? C entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, aweepatakea, description and age of horse. The jockey's colors,' those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a -penalty of 2 aovs, which while unl:qtdated will disqualify any hone whose owner or nominator ha 3 incurred auch a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that- effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hoar before tfie advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing te comply with this rule shall pay a fine to b» imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 6 iov<t to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a proteat, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before aach protest is conaidered ; this aaoL-tu . be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexation*. fiv« ; per cent, wilt be deducted from the gzoas of all moneys paid in accordance with -th* programme tor expenses. All disputes, claims, and objection* arising jat of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards', or. whoever they may appoint.
