• ; -:Thfe monthly toeeting .ofi.the. Hospicsil Committee was-held last evening at the Secretary's office. -There were present— ; 'SfeSsrs! 'Headland' (President); iShriinski, Lemon, Kerr,: Townsend, "Watson, and= M'lntosh. - •• -' ;
The minutes, of the. previous meeting were read -and confirmed,, and the outward correspondence was read and approved.- ; - - ThefoHowing report from the Visiting Committee was read, and adopted, being given to the Committee to carry out the recommendations
~ Your Visiting Committee beg to report having paid their Usual Tisit, and are happy to state they found everything in l a thoroughly satisfactory condition. There are at present 9 patients" in the Hospital—namely, 6 males and 3 females. Had been for the large number of ■bad cases lately in the Hospital, requiring a larger quantity of milk than usual, the cow' so' kindly presented: to; the Hospital by Mr. Sutherland would have supplied all, or nearly all,'that was required. The expenses'of the Hospital 'have been considerably reduced, from Lo :to; L 5; 10s per monthj. by '..having, .our o,wn supply ,of potatoes and vegetables, and nearly all our Pwii supply of milk and butter. I .;:'Mr. William Imrie,,superintending the construction of the Livingstone branch railway,, has. very handsomely .promised a donation of ;LlO from the Sick Fundi in connection with that work. The thanks of the Committee are due to the undernamed ladies and!gentlemen for' the following'gifts Mrs. Thos.
