All races to be run under the Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight for ige. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to. the Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colons, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of 2 which while unliqidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such ~ penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least balf ail lion' before the advertised time of itartii g Any person l.eglecting or refusing c with this rule shall p*y a fine to be imposed by the -Stewards, not exceeding 5 f.ovs to the race fund. n In i he event r-f .any pe son entering a protect, the gum of L2 2.-; must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered ; thiß sum to tie forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatiouf. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint.
