OAMARU RACES. I The above races were brought to a con- j elusion on Saturday, and, without doubt, it ■was the most successful meeting that has been held in Oamaru for years. The Havelock annual race meeting took place on Saturday, and, despite the weather, it was very successful. Rain poured in torrents all the morning, and, in consequence of this, the visitors from 1 town, either by road or rail, were comparatively few. In the afternoon, how--1 ever, the weather cleared, and the assemblage on the course increased. The following are the events : Handicap Hurdle Race.
