BEDOUIN is a dark brown horse, with black points ; free from all blemish, and has great muscular power. When a 3-year old, Bedouin beat a good field of 7 horses, including Waterwitch, Queen Bee, Kettledrum, and Lady of the Lake—distance, 1J mile. He also won the Clutha Ferry Handicap, beating Lady Ellen four others—distance, miles. He ran second to Backbiter for the Lawrence Town Plate, in IS7I ; and won the Publicans' Purse at Waiwera—distance, 2 miles. His latest performance was winning the Cromwell Spring Handicap (distance, 1A mile), easily, and he has also been victorious in many other events. BEDOUIN is brother to the well-known colt Saladin, the winner of many big events at all distances, from 1 mile to 3, in good company. BEDOUIN is by the well-known horse The Colonel, a dark chestnut, 16 hands high, free from white; remarkably handsome, long and powerful. The Colonel, by Cossack, out of Edith, by Emigrant. Cossack, by Sir Hercule3, out of Flora M'lvor, by Oap-a-jjie ; graud-dam Cornelia, by Grasshopper, out oi Hebe, by Hector, both imported. Sir Hercules was sire of Coronation, Faugh-a-ballagh, Irish Birdcatcher, Warlock, Daniel O'Rourlie, Knight of St. George, and Songstress —all Derby and St. Leger winners in England. His grandson was sire of Stockwell, and grandsire of Blair Athol, Colleen, St. Albans, The Marquis, and Whalebone— embracing the representative of the purest and most successful racing strain of the present day. Bedouin's dam, Gunsara, is a dark brown, with black points, imported direct from Arabia, by Mr, A. Pilans, having been selected from the purest of the racing stock in the country. Gunsara is irarsrkably handsome and powerful, 16 han<4s b'gb, up to almost any weight, and haa wen many events of 3 and 4 mile distances. TERMS, £3 3s. The Celebrated Norfolk Trotting Stallion GOLDFINDER, Will travel the Districts of Papakaio, Maerewhenua, Ngapara, Otepopo, and Hampden, this season. GOLD FINDER is a steel grey, with black points, stands 15 hands 3 inches high, is sry powerfully made, and has nice symmetry of form, with splendid action. Goldlinder was bred by William Webb, Esq., of Iticcarton, near ('hristchurch; is by the imported horse Quicksilver, out of Lady Margaret, by Wellington (imported); granddam Fanny, by Sir Hercules—Sir Hercules being the progenitor of the New Zealand Turf, and long proclaimed and proved to be the best blood aire in the Australian Colonies. Quicksilver was imported from England by J. W. Ladbrook, Esq., to Canterbury in 1864. He was bred by John Coker, Esq., Lynn, Norfolk, by Prickwillow. His dam, a Phenomenon mare, the property of John Bond, Esq., Old Prickwillow, was the champion of all roadsters. GOLDFINDER haa taken several first prizes ss the best Hackney Stallion at some of the principal shows as a weight-carrier and roadster; his equal is not in the Province. He is one of the be3t stock getters that ever travelled. His stock, like himself, show unmistakable sfgns of being excellent trotters. In New Zealand his stock have been equally successful. Mr. Menlove'3 HEATHER BELL, the Champion Mare of Victoria and New Zealand, is one of his daughters. HEATHER JuCK. was bred in Victoria by Thos. Watscn, Fsq- His sire was t'jcelebrated imported horse Blackleg (71 Scottish Clydesdale Sbud Book), who won the Highland and Agricultural Society's Gold Medal in 1859, and the Champion Prize at the Grand National Society's Show in Victoria. Blackleg won altogether 54 First and 2 Second Prizes. Princess Maude, the best mare that ever left Scctiaud, was half-sister to Blackleg. Heather Jook's dam was Lily Cromwell, the winner of 13 First Prizes at Melbourne, Kynetou, Melton, Bacchus Marsh, Castiemaine, Gisborne, and Carisbrook, She was gob by Old Cromwell (imp.) His grand-dam was R. M'Dougali'a mare Old Lily, by Grey Champion (imp.) Jock's great-grand-dam was a celebrated Clydesdale mare imported from Scotland. Terms—£s, payable on or before Ist Jan., 1880.
