SPECIAL TELEGRAMS.

- (FROM OUK OWN COUKKSrONIIKhTS.) CHRISTCHURCH. December 4. At a meeting of tlie Committee of the Native Industries Association held last nighl, the following resolution was passed That this Committee is of opinion, while sympathising strongly with trie proposed movement, that in the present depressed state of the Colony, and with the uncertainty at this moment of what the Government's intentions are as to the encouragement of local industries, the time has not yet arrived for taking any definite action in the matter, but should be Government feel disposed to largely subsidise a proposal of this nature, they would be most happy, in conjunction with other industrial associations, to further discuss the matter in order that the same may be brought to a successful issue.
