(from our own correspondents.) CHRISTCHURCH. November 2S. 11. Birmingham has been sentenced to three months' hard labor for stealing a gold keeper ring, the property of Mrs. Elmsley. The Rev. J. Richardson was chosen by the Wesleyan district meeting as the district representative to the Conference. He, however, asked the meeting to relieve him, and the Rev. W. Cannell, the next on the list, was elected.
