Sir Colin Campbell's sire, Young Iron Duke, by Iron Duke (imported), out of Ducro, sister to Mr. Jellies' prize mare. Young Iron Duke gained the firat prize at Warrnambool Show, Victoria, and first for the best draught entire exhibited, beating all imported and colonial bred horses on the ground. At the Grand National Show held at Kyneton, IS6O, he gained the first prizo for the heat colonial bred stallion, beating Dan O'Connell, the celebrated prizetaker, and tne renouried Prince Charlie, in the class open to all corners. At the same place he gained the first prize in IS7O, also first in 1672, never having been beaten in hi 3 class. Sir Colin Campbell's dam, Diamond, bred by Mr. Paterson, Quamby, her sire, Sir Colin Cami.bell (imported) by James Ro?s, Esq., of Bis-hopbburne, Tasmania. Her dam was the celebrated mare Blossom. This iilly obtained second prize at Sydney Kxhibition, IS7S, being beaten by a first-class imported filly eight months older than herself, and at Sydney Exhibition, 1579, she obtained sjcomi prize in her class, being beaten by her half-sisti r, a splendid auima-', some high-priced imported fillies being behind her. Blossom's dam of this mare obtained first prize and champion cup at Sydney Exhibition, IS7S, and Muir Lad, her sire, obtained chairpion prizs two years in succession. The sires of these fillies are tho3e of the best horses that ever came to Australia, their lists of prize 3 taken in England, Scotland, as well as here, being as long as my ar;n ; and Muir Lad and Davie are too veil know to need comment.
