The same year he took the second prize at the Kyn-.ton Agricultural Show, and first prize as a.yeariing, and also Progeny Stakes of Jack's..the. kd-ft silver:cup valued £7 10s, taking it two year 3 in succession at the Glenlyon,'Fran"klyn,ahd_Daylesford Agricultural Show, in March/' 1877- As a 2-year-old, he took first prize at the Beadigo Agricultural Show, 1877 ; also the same year, he took first-class certificate of merit at the National Agricultural Show of Victoria, at Melbourne, and the same year second prize at the Smeaton Agricultural Show, and second prize as a 2-year-old atthe.Glenlyon, Franklyn, and Dales ford Agricultural Show, 1878. He was bred by Joaeph Rosehdale, Glenlyon : Sire, Jack's the Lad (imported), bred by Mr. Allani of the Inches, near Eaglesham, by Mr. Moore's grand horse Lofty, which horse took a great many' first prizes at Glasgow, Inverness, and other places, cut of Mr. Allan's grand mare Flower, which took prizes all over Scotland.
