TO THE EWKXR OF THE OAMARU 3IAIL. Sir.,—l notice by this morning's paper that over sixty country people attended the Coffee Rooms last Saturday between the'hours of 11 and 2 - , which was very satisfactory. .But may I ask the Committee if at the time they were collecting subscriptions, for the purpose of opening the rooms it was with the intention of supplying the farmers of the Oamaru ;district and their families with refreshments at cost price, or was it for the purpose o* reclaiming the working man from the ev.il effects of grog drinking I —l am, &,a., Enquhieß.
