(from our own correspondents.) DUNEDIN. October 22. At the City Police Court to-day Benjamin, a furniture dealer, was fined 20s and costs for neglecting to stamp a small receipt. ' The offer of LIOO reward by the insurance companies for detection of . the Mataura incendiaries has had the desired effect. Two persons there have been arrested on suspicion. Waters has been arrested on a writ of attachment, and lodged in gaol. CHRISTCHURCH. October 22. Saunders, charged with aiding and counselling a forgery in connection with the James case, has been further remanded to the 29th inst.
