Jack's the Lad was imported in 1872, and obtained the first prize and first-class certificate of merit at Castlemaine ; and since he lias obtained seven first prizes and four second, and also the third pr.ze at the Grand National Sho-.v, Smeat on; in IS "3, and the second prize at the Grand National Sli w, Sandhurst, in 1576, and the champion prize for the best animal in the yard, at Smeaton, in 1575.
