As a 2-year-old, he took first prize at the Bendigo Agricultural Show, 1577 ; also the same year, he toek first-class certificate of merit at the National Agricultural Show of Victoria, at Melbourne, and the same year second prize at the Smeaton Agricultural Show, and second prize as a 2-year-old at the Glenlyon, Franklyn, and Dalesford Agricultural >how, IS7B. He was bred by Joseph llosendale, E-q., Gleiiiyon Sire, Jack's the Lad (imported), bred by Mr. Allan, of the Inches, near Eaglesham, by Mr. Moore's grand horse Lofty, which horse took a great many first prizes at Glasgow, Inverness, and other places, out of Mr. Allan's grand mare Flower, which took prizes all over Scotland.
