tations, one is enabled to form some idea of the probabilities of the meeting. At the same time your readers must think for themselves before speculating upon the several events. And that remiuds me that very little betting has taken place over the meeting, chiefly owing to the v.-a at of the necessary superfluous cash to warrant the backing of horses. For the .Maiden Plate there is a fair field of six. and of these I believe Fexella to be the best, and shall look no further for the winner. !sla</k Prince and Loyalty, although most known for their performances over sticks, have each a fair turn of foot, and I expect them to till the other places. York, with only 7sr., appears to me the beat of the other four, and I shall vote for him. and shall look to Blue Petcr and Raxhatira respectively to provide the second and third. Fur the Trotting Match Charley is my choice, with Mystery and .Mooxey for second and third. The Selling Race is a very open affair, but I think Fjinella, if she goes for it, should be the winner. Deception and Cceleno should fill the other places.
