SPECIAL TELEGRAMS.

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.)

DUKEDIN. September 22. The charge of arson against Waters was called on at the Police Court. Mr. Dennison demanded that it should be gone over lie novo, but Mr. Watt, in the prisoner's absence, ruled that he could not proceed. Subsequently, at the Gaol, depositions were taken before the Coroner, and read over. The case was remanded for a week to consider whether it is necessary to go through all the evidence again.
