Auckland, September 9. Mr. J. B. Whyte has been elected for Waikato, The Onehunga election resulted as follows :—O'Rorke, 228 ; Graham, 169. Reader Wood was returned by a large majority for Watemata. Some small returns are not yet in. September 10. The totals for the Waitemata election are : —Wood, 443 ; M'Farlane, 188. Dunedin, September 9. The complete returns for Caversham are : —Barron, 297; Cutten, 249 ; M'lndoe, 117 ; Wilson, 58 ; Main, 12. "• The following is the result of the Taieri election :—Fulton, 195 ; Snow, 152. There are other returns to come in, but they cannot affect the result. The full returns for Bruce are : —Murray, 245; Dyer, 184; Mosley, 115. Christchukch. September 9. Sir George Grey's meeting to-night is crowded, between 2000 and 3000 being present. He received a vote of confidence, only six hands being held up against it. Gisborne, September 9. Maori election : Gisborue—Tamoana, 89 ; Matua, 35. Opotiki—Tamoana, 66 ; Matua, 1. Wellington, September 9. The following is the result of the Hutt election :—Hutt—Mason, 94 ; Jackson, 93. Taitai—Mason, 31; Jackson, 2. Upper Hutt—Mason, 35; Jackson, 45; Wainuiomata —Mason, 17 ; Jackson, 0. Totals— Mason, 167; Jackson, 140. Northern Maori District :—Tawhango, 321 ; Mohi, 306 ; Te Hara, 201 ; Tawhiti, 179 ; Rupki, 122. Returns have to come from eight stations, and will not be in before Friday. Timaeu, September 9. The result of the Geraldine election was : —Wakefield (Opposition), 247; Feldwick (Greyite), 169. Westport, September 9. The polling for the Buller seat was ; Waimangaroa—Henry, 26; Fisher, 24 ; Addison's Flat—Fisher, 47 ; Henry, 21; Charleston —Fisher, 105; Henry, 105 (8 informal votes). Lyell—Fisher, 46 ; Henry, 22. Fisher is virtually elected.
