THE LONDON WOOL SALES.
Wellington, August 26. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company has received the following telegram from London : In wool the competition is decreasing, and quotations are, on an average, £d to Id lower than at the opening. Seedy and burry wools are. neglected. Up to date 74,000 bales have been withdrawn during the last sales. Scoured has declined since the close of the last sales. South Australian medium and inferior greasy have declined £d to Id per pound.
