Consignees in all cases will pay the railway carriage unless special arrangements are made with the Company to do so. The coal now being raised is of a very superior quality, being from the deep workings, and the Company in placing it in the market at such a reasonable price, feel every confidence in securing the support of Householders, Mill Owneis, and all Coal Consumers. A trial of the Coal is only necessary to establish the fact of economy in using it, as also in the saving of labor, in its not making any soot, or dirt of any kind. Good Quality Slack for engines, brickmakers, etc., at 7s per ton at the pit. All orders for coal forwarded to the Depots at Timaru, Oamaru, or to the Manager at Shag Point, Palmerston, will receive prompt attention. South Branch.
